The Scoop
The Bottled Llama received some local coverage yesterday. Click here to see the article in our local paper, the Kingman Daily Miner.
First, some clarifications are in order. Clarification regarding names of the owners and operators of Bottled Llama Brewing. Flash Blazer and Gray Hunter were psuedonyms we employed. I used mine (and still do) for my writing. I just carried it over to the BLB. Flash Blazer's psuedonym has a long and sordid history behind it. Perhaps someday the tale will be told - but not this day. Anyway, since the brewery is getting more and more serious and since we're now getting local news it seems prudent to use our actual names. People in Kingman will know Royal Sipe and Roger Mueller, not Flash and Gray. Royal is the IT guy and the genius behind everything and I am the staff hack writer. Oh, and I have a little bit to do with the beer. I like to call myself a Beer Artist, but that's just so pretentious. Anyway, now you know the real names. Back to the local news article.
The Miner's staff writer who wrote the piece, Terry Organ, has a regular feature called Meet Your Neighbors (or something similar; I confess I read the online version more than the print version). He picked Royal's name at random out of the phonebook to profile for the column. At first, Royal gave him some fluff about how "he doesn't really do anything." This was a blatant lie. I reprimanded him and planted this tiny little idea about his homebrewing adventures.
The light came on. He called Terry back, set up an appointment. After it was all done, Terry told him he wasn't sure when or where exactly the article would be published. We figured as much.
The next day, I walk in to my office and people start asking me things like, "Hey, did you find an investor yet?" I looked askew at them, as if they were leprous maniacs speaking some babble. After a bit, someone finally told me about the article. The interview was Monday, the article printed Tuesday - right on the front page. I couldn't believe it.
We've already had positive buzz about our little brewery. We've done some updates on the website, so please check it out and leave us some comments.

Gray Hunter is no hack. He is the genius behind the beer recipes and the Head Brewer (or Brew Lord). The rest of this entry is mostly pretty much somewhat accurate.
